I know that it’s possible to change course, to re-invent yourself, to re-discover the “real” you.  I know, because I have done it myself.   It’s a process that continues, and didn’t happen overnight, however I’ve come a long way in accepting feeling grateful and letting go of feeling hurt and unappreciated, frightened of being rejected and dumped.
